Ignacio Corleto Stade Français highlights


Ignacio Corleto played in France for eight years starting in 2000. His career began at Narbonne who had signed him after being impreswed with his performances at Rugby World Cup 1999. After two years he moved on to France and spent eight years at Stade Français and was a Top 14 Champion. The following video is a quick look at some of his time playing for the Parisian club in the middle of the 2000-2010 decade. He also had competition for Stade Français´ 15 shirt from Juan Martín Hernández who joined Stade Français not long after Corleto.

Despite missing plenty of rugby due to injury, Corleto still played in three World Cup´s. In total he played 27 tests for Los Pumas. Corleto has gone down in history for his try vs France to open Rugby World Cup 2007. He also can say he is one of only two players to have scored in the opening match of two World Cup´s. He scored vs Australia top open Rugby World Cup 2003 while New Zealand´s Michael Jones scored vs Italy to open Rugby World Cup 1987 and four years latter vs England to open the 1991 tournament.
