Jebb Sinclair debuts in Super Rugby

Canadian international forward, Jebb Sinclair, made history on Saturday as he played Super Rugby for South Africa side the Stormers in a derby match against the Cheetahs. It was the first time a Canadian had ever played Super Rugby and the second time a North American had following Todd Clever´s two year stay at the Lions, also a South African side. Sinclair was on the bench for the Stormers, but came on early as a first half replacement for number 8 Nizaam Carr in the 21st minute. The Canadian played in the 19 shirt. Sinclair is to play three more matches with the Stormers before stopping to represent his country in its three June international matches vs Italy, Georgia and the USA. He will then return to Super Rugby for the final rounds of the season before subsequently returning to England to rejoin his Aviva Premiership club, London Irish

The Stormers won the match 16-14 to continue its good season which has the Cape Town based side sitting in second position in the South African conference and second equal overall together with New Zealand side the Chiefs.
