Canada vs USA Promo

It is exciting times for the Second Tier North American teams and the clash between Canada and the USA in Kingston, Ontario is to be the first test since Rugby World Cup 2011 for both sides. In New Zealand both teams exited the tournament at the Group stage but both had done better than at the previous World Cup. Canada defeated Tonga and drew with Japan while the USA knocked over Russia. Both teams area already looknig ahead to England 2015 with the intention of moving closer towards the tier one sides.

The unions (Rugby Canada and USA Rugby) are also looking at putting out a significantly better product than in previous years. This means a different product on and off the field. On the field the unions are wanting their players to kick-on from the World Cup to play better rugby and with neither team having lost many players to retirement the chances are strong. Off the field the unions are seeking better matches and both Canada and the USA will play host to Georgia and Italy in the following weeks. They are both doing a lot to promote the home matches with Canada seeking to sell 20,000 tickets for the clash vs Italy in Toronto and the USA also looking for a significant crowd in Houston against the same team. Georgia will play at smaller venues, but venues in the rugby heartlands of both countries with the greater regions of Vancouver and Denver to recieve the Lelos.

First up, however is the North American derby with the USA looking for revenge after losing both matches last August. Canada won both and did well with the USA having looked like winning in Toronto before the Canadians completed an impressive win in Glendale, Colorado. The following video is the official promo for the North American clash, coming up in less than 30 days time. It is constructed largely based on the 2011 matches between the sides.
