Juan Imhoff |
Juan Imhoff continues to look to have confirmed himself as Argentina´s starting left winger for the upcoming international season as his form in France continues to receive pklenty of prasie from French comentators. His pst World Cup arrival was expected to see him fill the void of the injured pair of Benjamin Fall and Mirco Bergamasco but he has done much more than that as he has been Racing Métro´s leading winger and one of the clubs best attacking weapons. He is emerging as Argentina´s version of Welsh legend, Shane Williams as he is proving to be a hard man to tackle due to his running style.
This past weekend his scored his lattest try for the Parisian club as he was able to brush-off three would be tacklers and evade a fourth as he scored the games decisve try to defeat Castres. The try was another indication of his presence around the field as it was not a classic wingers try, rather Imhoff scored by putting himself in the right place and doing the hard work himself. The try was scored to the right of the posts, around 15 metres from the right hand touchline. Imhoff, of course was playing on the left wing.
