Argentine international left winger, Horacio Agulla may not have a club to play for next season but he is certainly a man in fine form as he collected the award of player of the month from his club, the Leicester Tigers yesterday. Having won the same award in December, Agulla has been having the best season of his career which before joinng Leicester in 2010 saw him play for three seasons in France´s Top 14. Since returning form international duty at the World Cup, Agulla has made the Leicester 14 shirt his own having socred five tries in 21 matches for the Tigers. He is one of four finalists for Player of the year for Leicester. the other players nominated are Argentine loosehead prop Marcos Ayerza, the New Zealand born backrower Thomas Waldrom and Tonga´s Julian Salvi.
He is certain to feature in The Rugby Championship and this has resulted in Leicester wanting to release him due to his unavaliability for the first two months of the Aviva Premiership. The UAR has been in negotiations with Leicester as it has with English and French clubs in general. Sources have suggested that Agulla is set to move, possibly back to France but Agulla remains tight-lipped about where he may play only saying he is considering the possibilities and would be open to a move to Super Rugby.
